The outdoor solar landscape lights, although easier than the low-voltage lighting we installed, do nothing practical. Yes, they use less electricity. But they also provide less light, and the manufacturer recommends that the battery be replaced in EACH LIGHT EACH YEAR. That is more maintenance than my low-voltage system. Plus, the LED light colors leave something to be desired...either cool white (blue, really) and warm orange don't really do much for me. The technology is there, why aren't the solar lights?
I'm going to backtrack here, but they will do just fine in my side veggie garden. I can hardly believe I'm saying this... Now which awful color to choose?
