The unexpectedness of today.

Ok. Not today really. Thursday.

I came home for lunch, as usual, and I went to go check on my wonderful beds, and as I round the corner....GASP! They are torn up! DOG PRINTS!

But I was a little relieved that he only uprooted one artichoke seed. There are others that might not come up exactly where I put them, but I'll be happy if they come up at all!

Second, I got home and trekked to the communal mailbox which contained the ever-wonderful and excitement-provoking key. I had to ask myself, "What in the hell did I order?" As I used the key to open the large mail holder box, it dawned on me: apparently, I ordered about $30 of plants from Brecks.com a few months back, and they just arrived in time for spring planting. I wasn't really expecting any more plants.

So I furiously ran around and planted everything. I ordered bee balm for it's wonderful scent -- 1 plant. So why in the hell did I end up potting over 20 little root things? I could only kind of decipher the actual plant, so anyone want any bee balm in a couple months? Also, I ordered tequila sunrise coreopsis, but due to some issues with their stock this year, they sent me 3 plants of moonbeam coreopsis, which I already have a TON of since it reseeds so readily. But it's green and a plant, so I'm happy.

Here's the rundown:
Bee balm (1....20)
Green wizard coneflower (1)
Brilliant miniature hollyhock (2)
Moonbeam coreopsis (3)
Lollipop helenium (3)

Weird day if you ask me.
