I figured out what insect dug the hole...

A queen yellow jacket.

Oh. My. God.

She is enormous and really aggressive. And has taken up a nest in one of my raised garden beds. Meaning she is likely laying eggs. That will hatch into more aggressive yellow jackets.

We bought the Rescue! Yellow Jacket Traps, but I am really concerned that we are already too late. We might have to call Clark on this one guys.

I'm afraid to even go in my backyard now.
