Book Review #6

I'm slowly working my way through all the books I ordered a while back, and have had the pleasure of using the California Master Gardener's Guide a lot recently.

Think every book you've ever read on the subject of gardening (the How-To variety), and imagine a regionalized version tailored just to your garden.

Yep, that is this book.

My favorite parts include:

*Advice on citrus and fruit varieties, and where they do well within California. It was helpful to have advice on what to buy for our backyard orchard.
*How to plan garden beds.
*A table for when to plant and harvest vegetables, as well as their best storage methods.

We used this book extensively when we planned and purchased our backyard orchard. I find myself planning crop rotations over the next year or so based on info in this book.

I actually dream about the contents of this book as well.

I won't go on and on...simply put....this book deserves an A+
