We have a large pile of dirt in our backyard that was once grass but is now all but decomposed.

We have two new raised beds that are in need of dirt.

Movin' dirt this weekend

The dirt/soil was of really great quality, nice and dark and earthy smelling. It was crumbly and even had some worms. So the tomatoes better thank me.
It was actually kind of cold yesterday, and I was so tired that I couldn't warm up so once we were pretty much filling one of the beds, we called it quits for today. And I came in and took a nap by the fire which Chris made barley soup for lunch. He swears I'm a cat. But I ran 2.5 miles at the gym Friday night for the first time in a couple weeks (been sick), so I was a little exhausted from that I think. Still loopy from my nap.

The other night after work, Chris went out to get some green onions from the side of the house and was all excited.
Chris: Girl! Did you see what's going on in one of the raised beds?
Me: Nope. Too muddy. Don't want to drag it into the house. Ahem...speaking of dragg...
Chris: Go by the garden room window and I'll point it out.
a minute later
Chris: ::pointing to onion tops!:: The onions are alive!
Awesome! I was worried they wouldn't come up at all. Yee have little faith!

And in other good news, the celery and green onion seeds have already germinated!
And the best news of all is that Flickr is working again...!
