So I have this thing for a little company called Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply (longtime readers may recognize this). They’re an organic supply company that I’m lucky to live within an hour of. We buy most of our seeds and other garden supplies from them, and I recommend them at any chance I get.
And the most wonderful thing about this company is that they are real people. You call and talk with someone who has a first name and a call back number. And a real desk.
They started a blog in February. A pretty good one too! So I left a comment telling them how much I enjoyed their blog and their company, and to keep up the great work.
Shortly after that, their Marketing Guru Luke contacted me to see if I wanted to be a guest blogger at In The Loop.
“Really? Me!? Yes! Of course!” was my response.
So I post about once a week over at their blog, In The Loop. They’ve got a lot of irons in the fire, and one in particular that is very interesting…
They have partnered with a young farmer who is just getting into the business to chronicle him, his farm, and address the issue of the declining number of young people who are turning to farms as their principle means of income. This should be pretty interesting. Check out the Freshman Farmer series.
Anyhow, shameless plug for an awesome company. Talk about putting your wallet where your beliefs are…
