I planted osme Shasta Daisy seeds in my garden a few weeks back, and suddenly, these seedlings appeared.
Never growing Shasta Daisies before, I thoought that perhaps, these must be it.
Until these seeds started sprouting all over the garden. They must have hitchhiked in with one of the bags of soil we just brought in.
So this morning, I began pulling the weeds ... and then all of a sudden YEOUCH! OMG ow ow ow ow.
And the first thing that popped in my head was stinging nettle, and Google confirmed my suspicions.
So I ran inside and washed off the affected area, and applied a bandaid with Calomine lotion to prevent the itching that is likely to occur. And it's on my right fingertip. Fingertip itches are the worst because you can't itch them effectively.
Fun.
So here's more info on Stinging Nettle, courtesy Wikipedia and this site.
Now I'm off to do more garden work, minus a finger.
