Daily Picture + Comments turned back on!

So David might think I'm cheating because the other day I posted a picture of my basil being held up by chopsticks, and one of the rules of the Daily Picture is that you can't post the same picture twice. Well, this one has a ladybug as the focus, so there. It's not the same picture.

Last night we released a can o' ladybugs that we purchased at OSH. I think it wasn't dark enough because a ton of them took flight to the sky and flew out of our yard. I was very pleased to see that many stayed and there are ladybugs everywhere this morning!

Last year when we released lady bugs, only a few stuck around. This year we have more foliage for them to hang out on, even though the bugs aren't as bad. Go figure.

Thanks to an email from Heather this morning, she made me realize that when I turned "Anonymous" comments off that it also took away the ability to leave a name/URL comment as well! So I turned it back on.

I apologize to any of you that were turned away from leaving a comment for this reason. That may explain why my comments died off a couple months ago.

Oh, and one more thing.

Did anyone notice that Blogger's word verification got a TON harder all of a sudden? It takes me a good 3 tries to post a comment on a blog that has word verification ANYWAY (a slight bit of dislexia perhaps?) and now they have just screwed me out of leaving comments on those blogs. But being the good person I am, I will still try.

I don't have word verification turned on, and I don't get but 1/1000 comments of spam. Does anyone really get that much spam where they need word verification? Just asking.
