This guy has been living in the backyard for a while - we see him every so often. There's one that is a shade of blue as well.

I almost walked into him this morning while he was climbing his web onto a rain gutter.

Seeing spiders used to make me cringe - but now I think it's just that black widows terrify me. It's great to see spiders everywhere; it means our organic methods are allowing the predators to thrive and take care of the pesky bugs by themselves.

Just like nature intended.
