Chris and I are hesitant to ride our bikes up to the local grocery store because they lack a place to lock up our bikes. I see people just leave their bikes out there, no worries, but I don’t know what neighborhood they grew up in. If you left your bike outside at night where I grew up, it was no longer yours before the sun rose the next morning (I learned the hard way).
I contacted the store via their website www.raleys.com, and left the following message:
Hi there,
May is Bike Month, and my family is trying to ride our bikes as much as possible. Recently, we biked up to our local Bel Air store and were stunned that there is no place to lock up a bike! I realize this may be a property management issue, but I would like to pursue this. I think that putting bike lockers in at your stores will bring you a lot of goodwill from bikers, and Folsom has lots of them!
Thanks!
Katie
I left my blog’s email address and am posting it here so they know I’m serious. For the record, I ADORE my local Bel Air store, and hope they follow through with the bike racks/locks.
PS/FYI – They have the perfect spot for them out front, to the left (West) of the store between Bel Air and Chuck’s Urban Eats.
Pending company response….
