Daily Picture - Meet the bike

bike, originally uploaded by gardenpunk.

This is my new bike. I broke down and bought one. I LOVE it already. Chris and I ride 14 miles today, and we aren't even that tired (even if we are starving now).

Guess a 24 pound bike is better than a 40 pound bike.

I shall call it "Demon"

Nice! All these posts about bikes have persuaded me to buy an electric bike when I get Financial Aid for school. I don't see why I couldn't use part of it to buy a bike, after all... it IS supposed to be in part for transportation. lol. I'll still be taking a bus for the most part of my trips to school but riding a bike the distances i'd have to walk is superior to walking them in my book. lol. Not only that, I'll always have the bike for other occasions. The only thing that sucks is we don't have many bike lanes here. Oh well...just look for me on the side of the road on the evening news. LOL!

Garret - I knew a few guys who used all of their student loan money to buy motorcycles when I was at community college.

is it just me or do those wheels look huge compared to the frame? Don't get me wrong it looks like a great pedal powered but kickin machine, but something here seems proportionally...unusual.

Heather - faster than the old one!

Garrett - I spend my student loans buying a house, so whatever works!

Gina - I guess it's cute, for a red bike and all!

Natalie - so far so good on the Demon.

David - always an adventure, right?

spelled with a k - trust me, the wheels feel huge when going up hills too!

ani - it has been fun! bikes are awesome.

chile - It's not used, but I like it. Much better than the old one. Even though Chris' bike weighs even less than mine!

Chile - I meant it isn't a "used" bike. I do use it. :0)
