I talked to Lee at Raley's/Bel Air yesterday, and apparently, there ARE bike racks at my local grocery store!
He said he actually had to go out and look for them, but they're in an alcove between the store and JACK's Urban Eats next door (inadvertently called it Chuck's in my previous post).
It was a very pleasant conversation. He also indicated that if they heard from more people, Raley's would likely buy more bike racks to put directly in front of their store.
Go Raley's!
Last night, Chris, his dad, and I went to the Rivercats game. The Rivercats are the AAA Affiliate of the Oakland A's (which are worshipped as royalty in our house). I took this picture of the scoreboard last night - it's actually really beautiful. It lights up even more when someone hits a home run. The park is named Raley Field because it is sponsored by Raley's - the same local grocery store chain that Bel Air is under.
The Raley's stores and the Raleys/Teel family do a lot of good for our community, and for that, I thank them.
We got to see Eric Chavez down on a rehab assignment. Pretty cool.
The best part has to be either the Raley Field Garlic Fries or running into my old friends Claudia and Joe. I worked with her in another life - and she is 4.5 months pregnant! Congrats to them!
