What are you addicted to?

We’ll I was a month early for Chile’s newest challenge – to give up something you’re addicted to. (I gave up alcohol and my daily morning coffee earlier this month and feel GREAT now).

But Chile snapped me back into gear when she said:

A few of you probably have already beaten all these demons and are sitting there looking all smug, thinking you can blow this challenge off. Well, how about we tweak our definition of addiction a bit for you? Have you converted to cloth wipes yet or are you addicted to toilet paper? Are you changing outfits several times a day or washing your clothes every day, addicted to sparkly clean new clothing? Long, hot baths part of your nightly routine? Grouchy without it? Sounds like an addiction to me.

Well, yes, yes I am addicted to toilet paper.

And while I’m not giving up toilet paper this month, there is something that’s been bothering me lately. Some of the makeup I wear to work is TOXIC. Like, read the ingredients and gag toxic. I haven’t had much time to find an alternative lately, but why do I need one? And I’m not someone who can’t leave the house without makeup, god I wish for the weekend when I don’t have to wear it because it’s a work-only thing for me.

I love my skin and want to do it a favor by giving it a break for a while.

I am going makeup free. Today is day 3 without it, and I feel liberated already!
