That jack-o-lantern looks like he ate too much candy, or drank too much beer, or maybe both!
Too late. We bought a few bags and absolutely no kids showed up at our front door. That's right... 0 kids (no adults either). So much for trying to be part of a "community"!! Now we have about $25- worth of Kit Kat, Resses, York, Milky Way, Smarties, and Twizzler sitting in a bowl on our counter. I'm assuming we'll have plenty to last us until next year. UGH!
Happy Halloween to you too! I guess we will all be suffering gangs of hyperactive, sugared-up teenagers for a while now!

carol - In this case, too much candy. Our friends told us to keep the guts and put them in front of him on the porch, maybe I should have!
laura - Our trick or treaters are hit and miss as well. This is our 3rd Halloween here, and the first year we had 7 kids total, last year ~20, and this year 35-40. I'm just glad we got rid of all of the candy. I was eating too much of it! You seem to have self control to make it last until NEXT Halloween!
matron - Chris says most of the kids that came to the door were little (under 10). So hyperactive children instead of teenagers - that is good.
Natalie - It is strange to wake up the day after Halloween and be in a totally different month with a completely different feeling! Hope the kids aren't too hungover from sugar!

We didn't get any trick or treaters: I don't know if that's because we gave apples instead of sweets last year, or because our two small but very vocal terriers scare anybody who might think about knocking on our door after dark!
As you can probably tell though, I'm not too upset about it. We'll get plenty of carol singers in just a few weeks time.
