I participate in Garden Blogger's Bloom Day a couple times per year, and always love to read about what is in bloom in others' gardens. Started by Carol at May Dreams Gardens, anyone can participate!
I'll keep this brief.

Brief, but lots of blooms. It looks like you are having a great spring in your garden.
Thanks for joining in!

Beautiful! You really should be a garden photographer. I follow you on twitter (I'm @gardenofwords) and it seems you have missed your calling!
Beautiful photos of your blooms...really quite lovely! gail
OMG! I'm so jealous! Beautiful.
Beautiful.. what are the little black and white flowers?
Wonderful photos. I was hooked after seeing the Hoop Petticoat daffs.
You have a lot of great stuff here. I love the hoop daffs, which few seem to grow.
Well, brief in words maybe, but not in blooms! Can I ask what camera you use? I know it doesn't come with an artists' eye included. :) Very impressive and lovely.
Lots of great blooms! I've been missing out on Carol's bloom day (I just keep forgetting about it every month...I guess old age is getting to me sooner then expected ;-) )
I love The daffodils in the first picture, what are they?
Beautiful! I love spring and all it's blooms.
What beautiful pics! You brightened my day. :)
A lot of bloom for brief! thanks.
i swear it's about time for me to take a trip over the hill and live spring vicariously.
these photos are gorgeous, katie!
what a lovely idea. I'm afraid here, in N.Ireland you'd only get the usual daff and primrose pics, nothing else so I'll not bore you. Lovely photos, rather jealous of all that colour.
Carol - How fitting that you're the first comment! :0)
Katie - Why thank you! It is a path I am actually pursuing, albeit slowly. PS - I wrote a small article for an online newsletter the same day you posted your tips for newbie gardeners. The similarities were uncanny! Must be that we're both Katies.
Gail - Why thank you. I can't take credit for the flowers, but I'll take credit for the pictures.
Kim & Victoria - Yes, spring comes a little early here. And we get just enough winter chill that spring is magical.
Nancy - Thanks! The black and white flowers are fava bean plants. They smell divine!
sweet bay - Thanks for putting a name to my daff's. I bought them from a catalog and promptly forgot what they were called.
EAL - Good to see you! I'm glad I chose to run the picture of the hoop daff's first! Pulled readers in...
Karen - Very sweet of you...It's a Sony A100.
gintoino - Apparently the daff's are called Hoop Petticoat. Other commenters alerted me to this fact...I too miss bloom day most of the time, mainly because it falls during the week and I am busy with work and other things.
Kendra - Thanks for stopping by! You should participate also. We're in very similar zones, if I recall...
Bri - Glad to be of service! Have a great week, even!
Town Mouse - I just mainly didn't feel like telling the story of every plant. I could have gone on and on...
Ani - Yes, spring is early here. We're in the beginning of "Wildflower season..." More on that in an upcoming post.
Carrie - Daffodils could never bore!
I'm so glad you posted ... it's always fun to see what I recognize and what I don't. Love the Ipheion. I have them but they've gotten lost amongst bigger plants.
All pretty....but...my favs are the Salvia and Forsythia. ^_^
Katie you photos are beautiful and so much in bloom!
Brief and Beautiful! I love all your blooms and am totally jealous. It's still brown here.
That's brief? Wow. I do wish they had labels...

Would love to see a photo of the whole scene! They're gorgeous!
