Chicago Spring Fling 2009

I could be totally long winded about how wonderfully awesome our trip was, but I'll keep it short.

It was an experience of a lifetime to meet the folks I've known online, and the trip and people exceeded my wildest expectations. So much I could say...

Thank you.

And a special thanks to the Spring Fling committee that made the trip well worth the while. I am glad to have met you and consider you among my friends.

Hi Punks! Thanks for stopping by our blog. I am just getting a photo show ready for tomorrow of a few Chicago images. Loved your slide show especially the images that were patterned or quirky angles or cropped imaginatively. You took some very evocative shots at the Bayless garden. I will have to send Mark over to look at everything. We'll be back — even if you don't reply!

Linda - It was so fun to meet you and Mark. I adore your blog. Well designed and written, not to mention funny! Thanks for leaving a comment. I look forward to following your adventures after meeting you at Spring Fling.

I loved your pictures, how you framed different views, and cropped them. Ms. Wis. is right, you did a great job on the Bayless garden!

It was nice to meet you and Chris, I enjoyed your tweets as you traveled home, too. Hilarious.

Well,Katie, you know I love you to pieces! I can't thank you enough for coming to Spring Fling so I could meet you (and Chris!) in person. That's not why you came, but the chance to meet you and so many others was a big reason I came!

Even though I could be your mom, it felt more like we were friends and contemporaries. You made me feel so good when you said all those nice things about me and my blog. :-)

Your photos are WONDERFUL!!!!

Wish we lived closer to each other. Anytime you and Chris want to get away to the flat prairies of Ohio, you've got a place to stay, okay? *hugs*

It was great to meet you both, Katie. Your pics are wonderful, particularly the verticals from the Bayless garden. Love the Bean too!

I was pretty jealous when I saw you were going. Late May is just an impossible time for me to get away from work. Your photos were beautiful and maybe if it is in Buffalo in July next year I will actually be able to go. Glad you had a great time!

Great job on the pictures and love seeing CSF through your lens. One of the highlights of this trip was meeting the fellow garden addicts and you and Chris will forever be 'The Matrix' couple in my memories. I have always enjoyed your posts on the evolution of your garden and will continue to do so but with a more personal connection.

K&C,

Like I've said, it was great meeting you two. If you're ever back this way hit me up and we'll have a meetup and hit a few pubs. Maybe nice to see if we can get Carolyn to chug a few beers.

Katie, it was a pleasure to meet you and Chris and hang out on Saturday. I enjoyed getting to know you! Thank you for the nice comments about the committee - so glad you had a good time, and I consider you both friends too.

If you make it back to Chicago I'd love to join you and MBT for a meetup. Somehow it's hard for me to picture Carolyn chugging a few beers, but if it happens I'd love to be there to see it!

Your slide show was wonderful and I second what everyone else here has said about it - really wonderful!
