Cucumbers Out

I tore out the cucumbers today. Mark that 9/02/09 in the garden journal.

I "found" some coneflowers under where the cuc's were propped up. Huge clump too!

'Hopi Red Dye' Amaranth is so beautiful. Thanks to Nan Ondra for introducing me to this beautiful plant! Fiery orange tithonia in the background.

I disturbed a hummingbird feeding on the tithonia. Sorry dude!

My Proven Winners Supertunia from Chicago Spring Fling is still blooming like mad. It's right outside my back door and I smile whenever I go out back - In an instant I remember what fun we had meeting all of our online friends ::warm fuzzy::

I need to get our cukes out, too. They are looking shrively and sad.

Your garden pics are beautiful.
Will you be planting a fall/winter garden?

mrsb - Ours were overrun with a recent aphid infestation, so they had to go. More room for other stuff!

CeeCee - Yes to a winter garden. Already started beets, carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts!

The Foliage on my Proven Winners Suptertunia is looking like it is on it's last legs, but I still got a few flowers left. Every time I go out and see it in the garden, I think about CraigsList and laugh my ass off.

Love those Supertunias, very elegant. I will have to look for those next year.

Your raised beds are lovely.

Your garden looks great- even if I'm slow to notice.
